Various presidents sign Pacific Alliance

On 6 June 2012, Presidents Felipe Calderón of Mexico, Ollanta Humala of Peru, Juan Manuel Santos of Colombia and Sebastián Piñera of Chile signed the Pacific Alliance. The agreement removes visa requirements between the four countries and creates a mechanism to more easily trade in the Asian market, though it is not designed to override or replace any existing regional treaties or individual trade agreements between member countries.
