Suspected Zeta cartel members arrested in Veracruz

On 24 April 2012, the National Defense Secretariat (SEDENA) announced the arrest of two suspected Zeta cartel members, Romeo Domínguez Vélez, alias El Chaparro, and Irving Vivanco in Coatzacoalcos, Veracruz, where they allegedly planned to take control of the plaza for Los Zetas.
