States present risk maps ahead of presidential elections

On 13 June 2012, the Attorney General’s Office (PGR) confirmed that ten states have submitted risk maps for the 1 July 2012 presidential elections, covering a total of 53 municipalities. State prosecutors agreed to provide the maps after requesting security support from the PGR in the most vulnerable municipalities, where drug traffickers and organized crime operate.
