SICA Presidents express support for President Lobo

On 14 December 2012, the presidents of the Central American Integration System (SICA) Member States expressed their support for President Porfirio Lobo in overcoming the crisis of power generated by the dismissal of four Supreme Court judges on 12 December 2012. Presidents Otto Pérez Molina of Guatemala, Mauricio Funes of El Salvador, Ricardo Martinelli of Panama, and Daniel Ortega of Nicaragua signed a letter backing Lobo’s proposal for a comprehensive dialogue between the branches of government as a way to end the political impasse.
