On 18 June 2012, at the G20 summit in Los Cabos, Mexico, President Juan Manuel Santos observed that Colombia had weathered the global economic crisis by identifying key actors in the government, banks, businesses, and families, four important elements of the short-term economic plan. Santos described the government’s involvement as pragmatic, socially sensitive and politically viable.
