President Correa confirms impeding changes in Cabinet

On 21 April 2012, President Rafael Correa confirmed a proposed shakeup to his Cabinet involving the replacement of six ministers. In a special ceremony scheduled to be held at the Carondelet Palace on 30 April 2012, Javier Ponce, Miguel Carvajal, Doris Soliz, Richard Espinoza, José Francisco Cow and Augusto Espinoza will be named the Ministers of Agriculture, Defense, Economic and Social Inclusion (Mies), Social Development, Labor Relations, and Human Resource, respectively.
