Pemex recognized as third largest exporter of crude oil to U.S.

On 10 May 2012, the U.S. Department of Commerce (DoC) announced that Pemex placed 89.7 million barrels of crude oil in the U.S. market in its first quarter, earning almost US$9.6 billion in income. According to the DoC, Pemex had revenues of US$39.7 billion from its oil sales to the U.S. market in 2011, falling only behind Canada and Saudi Arabia.
