Pemex, Mexichem launch infrastructural projects

On 17 January 2013, the Administrative Council of Petróleos Mexicanos (Pemex) approved a joint venture with domestic company Mexichem to modernize infrastructure at the Pajaritos petrochemical complex in Coazacoalcos, Veracruz and increase the natural gas supply to the West-Central region of the country via the pipeline Los Ramones. Mexichem will contribute around US$300 million for long-term infrastructure development towards ethanol and chloride monomers, while Pemex will provide personnel.
