Oil company to make bid for gas reserve exploration

On 19 June 2012, Rafael Martínez Vaca, President of Chaco S.A., a subsidiary of Yacimientos Petrolíferos Fiscales Bolivianos (YPFB), announced that his company would make a bid to explore liquid and solid gas reserves in Huacatera. Located in the department of Chuquisaca, Huacatera is one of 15 areas the government has opened up for exploration and extraction bids.
