Mercosur discuss new associate state incorporations

On 18 June 2012, Uruguayan Deputy Foreign Minister Roberto Conde expressed his country’s support for the possible incorporation of Ecuador as a Mercosur associate state. The Mercosur heads of state will meet from 26 to 28 June 2012 in Mendoza, Argentina, where they are expected to continue discussing the process of incorporating Ecuador and Venezuela.
