López Obrador levies more accusations against PRI

On 26 July 2012, presidential candidate Andrés Manuel López Obrador advanced his accusations of vote buying against the PRI by playing audio recordings of various individuals who claimed that they had received prepaid Monex debit cards in exchange for voting for PRI candidate Enrique Peña Nieto. PRI officials had admitted on 20 July 2012 to the purchase of 7,851 prepaid cards valued at nearly US$5 million to disseminate to campaign staff members throughout the country.
