House of Representatives approves transparency law

On 19 June 2012, the House of Representatives approved the law of transparency and public access, intended to increase citizen access to information about state matters. The law recognizes the citizen’s right to request answers from officials, and obligates government officials to provide a clear explanation in case of withholding information.
