Five companies denounced for misuse of SERNAC logo

On May 3, 2012, the new consumer protection agency Servicio Nacional del Consumidor (SERNAC) denounced the companies La Polar, BCI, Consorcio, Coopeuch and la Caja de Compensación Los Héroes for misleading consumers by inappropriately using the SERNAC Financiero logo. The agency had yet to evaluate or approve any company, since its compliance regulations were still pending approval.
