Fenosa passes electricity production to TSK, Melfosur

On 12 February 2013, Spanish electricity company Gas Natural Fenosa confirmed that it would pull out of the country, after selling US$57.8 million in shares of domestic electricity producer Disnorte-Dissur to the Spanish electricity conglomerate of TSK Electrónica y Electricidad and Melfosur on 11 February 2013. Presidential economic adviser Bayardo Arce Castaño stated on 14 February 2013 that the national government will continue to subsidize electricity as well as monitor loss of energy until the sale is complete.
