Energy consultant promotes rationing, warns of power failures

On 7 December 2012, Engineer and Integral Energy Efficiency Services Consultant Nelson Hernández explained that only more electricity rationing will solve the problem of stabilizing the electrical system and that power outages occur because no infrastructural work has been performed since 2002. He added that to overcome systemic problems, the country’s electric capacity must be increased by 10,000 to 15,000 megawatts.
