Drug lord Calle Serna rumored to have surrendered

25-Apr-2012

On 18 April 2012, El Mundo and several other Colombian and Spanish sources reported that a key leader for the Rastrojos drug gang, Javier Antonio Calle Serna, alias Comba, had surrendered to the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA). On 19 April 2012, several sources reported that “Comba” had not yet surrendered, but that he and at least three other cartel leaders would be extradited to the U.S. within the next three months. While it has yet to be determined if “Comba” is in custody, it has been confirmed that he is currently in negotiations with U.S. authorities.
