Country falls three places in Global Competitiveness Report

On 30 May 2012, the International Institute for Management Development of Switzerland (IMD) released the 2011 Global Competitiveness Report indicating that Chile has dropped three positions in general competitiveness since 2010. The decline from 25th to 28th place is largely based on an increase in social unrest and an increase in consumer prices.
