Attorney General convenes meeting with Peruvian counterpart

On 20 April 2012, the Attorneys General of Peru and Ecuador, José Antonio Peláez and Galo Chiriboga, signed an agreement to strengthen mutual cooperation and increase the exchange of information concerning different types of crime, including drug-trafficking, arms smuggling, and human trafficking, along the border region. Chiriboga initiated the meeting and agreement.
