Armed Forces and National Police to strengthen exchange

On 11 May 2012, Comando Conjunto Chief Leonardo Barreiro announced that the armed forces and the national police will seek to strengthen their exchange of information and intelligence to more effectively fight organized crime. Barreiro also indicated that the armed forces have integrated two battalions of Military Police and are hoping to increase their number to 4,000 in coming months.
