Mexico registers decrease in exports

The Mexican National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI) reported on 24 November 2016 the value of exported goods decreased by 5.34 percent in October 2016 compared to September 2016 (Expansion). The fall in exports represents a 4.4 percent annual decline in exports, the largest since December 2008 (Sin Embargo). The National Association of Transport Vehicle Producers (ANPACT) also reported heavy vehicle exports fell to just 83,000 from January to September 2016, a 32.6 percent decrease from the same period of 2015. Heavy vehicle assemblies in 2016 have also fallen to 115,046 units, a 21.5 percent drop compared to 2015 (Opportimes).
