Chocó sees ELN demobilization

Colombia's Defense Ministry reported on 17 October that at least 24 members of the rebel group Ejército de Liberación Nacional have voluntarily demobilized in Pizarro, Chocó. Located approximately 113km southwest of the departmental capital Quibdó, authorities in Pizarro received the group of soldiers, which reportedly included minors (El Colombiano). The former rebel fighters will be transported to Buenaventura, where General Juan Pablo Rodríguez will accept them into government reintegration programs (El Tiempo).
